Boekbaby’s
Inspired by the British campaign Bookstart, Stichting Lezen’s BoekBaby’s encourages young parents to share an interest in books with their young children.
The project runs in 45 communities across Flanders. On two occasions during the first two years of their child’s life, young families are given a package of books and a brochure on books and library information.
In all the other Flemish communities, health care centres distribute the brochure on books and library information to visiting parents.
BoekBaby’s is a cooperation between the libraries, the healthcenters and the local authorities.
