Digital Library
Digital Library was launched in cooperation with computer distribution for all Portuguese children in primary schools – the Magalhães programme (http://www.eescolinha.gov.pt/portal/server.pt/community/e-).
Children can read the books by themselves, turning the pages as if were reading real books, and they can also listen to an audio book. Children can enrol to become members of a club and write and send texts to be published by the Digital Library.
The programme is designed to stimulate independent book reading among children, reading within the classroom and family reading.
