Fahrenheit451 and Book Challenge
Fahrenheit451 is a project for those over 15 years old in vocational and technical education. These young people are reluctant readers, so we approach them via their own world of interest to entice them to read. By using a search engine (www.boekenzoeker.org), they can access hundreds of titles they may be interested in.
The Book Challenge is a concrete project based on the Fahrenheit451 principles. Three popular Belgian celebrities challenge 15-year-olds in vocational and technical education to read three books in six months’ time. At stake: a visit by one of the celebrities to the classroom.
