Lees mij! is designed to tempt young people to read using multimedia.
The project consists of a number of short films about literary books, which are emailed as links to children’s school email addresses every week for one school year. In a virtual environment with books, the films will be launched on a website developed specifically for young people. The project is a unique collaboration between different institutions.
When making the films, material is taken from the archives of the Literary Museum (Letterkundig Museum), and the Dutch public broadcasting organisations (Publieke Omroep) are used. This means that our country’s literary inheritance is presented to young people in their own language, which encourages them to read literature.
