Leselotte

Leselotte

The Leselotte is a very popular project, liked by children and teachers. The Leselotte is made up of 25 material bags. In each bag is a picture book. Most of them are new editions. Their destinations are different kindergartens and first classes of primary schools.

The Leselotte stays for three weeks in the kindergarten, then moves to the first class. The fact that the Leselotte doesn’t remain in the classroom for long is what makes it so successful. Children are very curious, they want to know all the stories and so they try to read all the books. Parents come to the kindergarten to read aloud, and teachers spend more time reading books with their children.

Also in the Leselotte is a Reisebuch, in which parents and teachers put pictures or comments from their children.

Since the beginning of the school year there have been six Leselottes on tour. At the end of the school year they will came back to the jukibuz, hopefully with a lot of good memories in the Reisebuch.

This project is run by LeseForum, South Tyrol (Italy)
