Lesestart
The Reading Foundation in conjunction with companies in the printing and paper industry, publishing houses and social organizations have launched Lesestart - The Reading Initiative for Germany, and in doing so have set new standards for early childhood reading promotion in Germany.
Launched in the summer of 2008, 250,000 free Lesestart leaflets were distributed to sets of parents of 1-year-old children. From the beginning of June 2009 Lesestart can now reach 250,000 sets of children and young physicians throughout Germany as part of the U6-screening.
