Poetry Day
Poetry Day is The Netherlands’ and Flanders’s favourite day to celebrate poetry together. Many organisations in both countries organise local events and festivities that day, generating widespread media attention. For The Netherlands, Poetry International coordinates these events; in Flanders, Stichting Lezen is the coordinator.
Both organisations distribute the yearly Poetry Day Collection, inspiration for teachers and all the necessary promotional materials. Activities are rounded up on the website.
