We can deal with this in a different way!
Schools in favour of fair play
Today, schools are increasingly confronted with the subject of violence in its different forms, and they as well as the parents are challenged to enlighten children and young people as early as possible and raise their awareness. The Beltz publishing group, a partner of Stiftung Lesen, is engaged against violence in a particular sense, promoting fair play by its publishing profile. Beltz and Stiftung Lesen wish to support teachers in their important task of creating a culture of recognition, mutual respect and tolerance thus leaving no room for solving conflicts in a violent manner.
The brochure “Wir können auch anders! Schulen für ein faires Miteinander” (We can deal with this in a different way! Students support fair play) provides an overview on the topic of violence at school. It also contains several building blocks that have been developed by experts in the field, thus assisting discussions of the topic in the classroom and among staff members, and related work. All students from school years 7 to 9 are moreover invited to participate in a lyrics contest on the theme of “We can deal with this in a different way – Students support fair play”.
This project has been successfully completed and is no longer active.
